At FCR we are equipped with some of the best equipment to guarantee a fantastic finished product. One of our key ingredients is being able to take a dull looking head or anything aluminum for that matter and make it look better than OE finish. This is thanks to a special machine called a vapor hone. The machine mixes water with bead to produce a special sheen finish to most aluminum. Now, this is not without great care going into monitoring where the glass goes in the aluminum piece as the glass can be detrimental to any engine unless proper care is taken! All of our heads have oil galley plugs drilled out and removed so proper cleaning can take place. All of our heads are also ultrasonic cleaned to insure that any glass bead is fully removed! Cost is based on a per hour usage of machine.
